This has been a requested item for some time. Occasionally pipsqueek will start storing separate data for a new user if you join the channel under a nickname that wasn't your original or most recent /nick change. New plugin writers that want to use the merge extension must catch the special event 'pipsqueek_mergeuser' and then merge their stored data in whatever way seems fit. All the core pipsqueek modules have been modified to take advantage of the new change. * It is recommended that you set this command to a HIGH access level * * These settings are stored in the etc/levels.conf file for your bot * 07 Apr 2004; Shaun Guth Added a new API for how plugins define their configuration data. Plugin writers are now responsible for telling the configuration object about the keys they accept. Also modified the behavior for module configuration so that the bot will first load the config file from the root directory and then will merge in updates from a local channel config if it exists. Currency.pm had an error in the database table data - Just delete the currency table from the database and rehash your bot to reload the correct data. 14 Mar 2004; Shaun Guth Fixed levels.conf loading so it properly loads the file from the root directory if it doesn't exist in the configuration directory. * pipsqueek-5.0.0 12 Mar 2004; Shaun Guth I really suck at writing changelogs, I should have updated this a week ago when I started rewriting the core of pipsqueek. Some of the big changes are; all data is stored in sqlite databases now, there's a database abstraction layer to (sort of) mediate the amount of work required for a plugin writer to utlize it. A lot of the way plugins and sessions interacted has been revamped - most of the interface is the same though. The configuration module has been redesigned, instead of the goofy param() function, it creates an accessor for each data member. The pipsqueek program can now be used to run multiple sessions with independent configuration, datafiles, plugins, etc. That about sums up the majority of it I think... There were numerous minor bugs fixed and some new functionality added to plugins. Oh, and the new blackjack plugin (thanks for the inspiration Truckle) is a lot of fun! * pipsqueek-4.0.1 09 Jun 2003; Shaun Guth lib/PipSqueek/Plugins/Stats.pm, bin/pipsqueek.pl: Fixed a bug in the cloaking feature whereby a user couldn't use the !rank command to get their own stats. Also, if a user requests the stats for themselves by typing their username out, the 'sorry!' message is displayed to them. Added more install information and configuration information, also documented the configuration file itself. Cleaned up the way kicks were handled. Fixed a small bug in the connection setup whereby if the bots nickname was set, it wouldn't tell the config module that it was using the default 'PipSqueek'. So any further attempts to match the bot's nickname would fail (nickname is nothing). 30 May 2003; Shaun Guth Another large cleanup of the code, overhauled the semantics of the way pipsqueek tracks nicknames and maps them to their stats. Squashed a lot of bugs related to various plugin modules, fixed up an error in the stats tracking that arose from the new nickname tracking code.
